This position is responsible for identifying, collecting, analyzing and maintaining data to evaluate strategic business decisions. The Data Analyst is accountable for compiling information in an insightful manner to improve outcomes and lower costs. The Analyst will support projects and performance improvement initiatives across the organization.




  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare, Information Systems, Statistics or related
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a data analyst role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Terminology
  • Two (2) years' experience with SQL

Other Qualifications:

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience analyzing healthcare data sets

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills in handling interactions with Palmetto Infusion staff, other agencies, groups, patients and families.

Technology Skills:

  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau or other analytical tools
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Export, Transform, Load processes
  • Experience with Python or R preferred
  • Competent in use of company email as means of communication, accessing the company website to view company policies and electronic medical
  • Competent in the use of company self-service payroll software (time and attendance, benefits, pay statements).
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate Internet Proficient in typing, word processing (Microsoft Outlook/Express, Word, Excel), and familiar with office equipment.


Language Skills:

  • This position requires a knowledge of, and sensitivity to, cultural and language differences.


Mathematical Skills:

  • Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis

Reasoning Ability

  • There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multi-task and interact with a wider variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors and staff.

  • Actively supports the mission, vision and values of Palmetto Infusion.
  • Applies knowledge of data, data structure and analytical tools to research, identify trends, expenditures and utilization of resources.
  • Identifies opportunities and provides actionable data and reports.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of health care operations and systems.
  • Performs evaluations of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provides periodic reports to internal and external parties in support of quality and outcomes initiatives.
  • Collaborates with senior management to develop and analyze meaningful outcomes reporting to improve and innovate care.
  • Creates summary reports of key performance improvement activities, outcomes and trends for appropriate committees
  • Supports clinical, pharma and payer programs and the related data exchanges.
  • Ensures the programs are not creating unnecessary data collection burden to the organization.

Normal office conditions exist, and the noise level in the work environment can vary from low to moderate. Limited overnight travel may be required from time to time.
