Working closely with the Director of Supply Chain Management and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Logistics Manager will coordinate and supervise all warehouse functions, to include inventory control, ordering, DME management, packing of patient orders, and delivery coordination. Works with Pharmacy and Nursing to ensure accountability and a high level of accuracy in order fulfillment.



  • Hugh School diploma. 
  • 2+ years experience in routing, transportation and/or logistics and supervision. 
  • Experience in a medical related field preferred. 
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record, free of disciplinary restrictions. 
  • Knowledge of delivery and service areas, inventory monitoring/warehouse skills. 

Other Qualifications

  • Dependable in attendance and job related duties.
  • A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
  • Pharmacy experience preferred; medium level of expertise in drugs, medical equipment and related supplies.
  • Must be able to assume a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work well in a fast-paced stressful environment.
  • Deadline driven with strong customer service skills.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills in handling interactions with Palmetto Infusion staff, other agencies, groups, patients and families.

Technology Skills:

  • Competent in use of company email as means of communication, accessing the company website to view company policies and electronic medical records. 
  • Competent in the use of company self-service payroll software (time and attendance, benefits, pay statements). 
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate Internet Explorer. Proficient in typing, word processing (Microsoft Outlook/Express, Word, Excel), and familiar with office equipment. 

Language Skills

  • This position requires a knowledge of, and sensitivity to, cultural and language differences. 

Mathematical Skills

  • Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

  • There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multi-task and interact with a wider variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors and staff.

Other Skills

  • Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.


  • Orders supplies, tracks inventory and maintains required records for primary location.
  • Assists with warehouse operations company-wide, to meet all relevant accreditation standards.
  • Orients new warehouse employees and new drivers as required.
  • Oversees tracking and maintenance of pumps company-wide, to include managing any issues with DME.
  • Pulls supplies for patient deliveries under the supervision of the pharmacist and/or nurse.
  • Coordinates delivery schedules for home patient deliveries and clinics.
  • Participates in monthly physical inventory process for primary location.
  • Works with the Director of Supply Chain Management and Purchasing Specialist to stock in-coming supplies and maintains warehouse in clean, organized fashion.
  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of delivery and warehouse technicians. Holds staff accountable to agreed upon procedures. Sets high standards for accuracy and efficiency within the department.
  • Completes performance appraisals of all staff managed according to policy.
  • Provides contemporaneous documentation related to personnel and HR matters involving direct reports.
  • Is available and participates in the delivery 'On Call' schedule.
  • Is available to personally make deliveries maintaining timely performance standards when delivery personnel or courier services are unavailable.
  • Assists with Performance Improvement program.
  • Acts as support to the Director of Supply Chain Management position when the director is unavailable.

Normal office conditions exist, and the noise level in the work environment can vary from low to moderate. Limited overnight travel may be required from time to time.
